A Christ Who Hears

Have you ever felt uncertain about whether God hears your prayers? In this episode of Words of Grace, Pastor Ben Winslett shares a message of deep reassurance from Luke 4, Isaiah 61, Psalm 72, Matthew 8, and Hebrews 4. From the moment Jesus stood in the synagogue and read from Isaiah to the many times He answered cries for help during His earthly ministry, we see a consistent truth: Christ hears and responds to the needs of His people.

Whether you’re struggling, seeking guidance, or simply in need of comfort, this message reminds us that we can always go to Jesus—and He will say, “I will.”

The Glory of the Second House

In this week’s episode of Words of Grace, we share a message Ben Winslett recently delivered at Flint River Primitive Baptist Church, exploring the prophecy that the second temple would surpass Solomon’s in glory. While some wept over its humble foundation, the prophet Haggai foretold something far greater—that the Lord Himself would come to His temple.

Through Scripture and history, we trace how Christ’s physical presence fulfilled this prophecy, ultimately leading us to consider the spiritual temple of today: the New Testament Church. If Jesus brought glory to the second temple by visiting it, what does it mean that He dwells in His church today by the Spirit?

Salt and Light

In today’s episode of Words of Grace, Pastor Benjamin Winslett reflects on another change in government leaders and uses it as a backdrop to discuss Jesus’ powerful teachings in Matthew 5:13-16. Believers are called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Pastor Winslett explains how Christians bring value, preserve goodness, and shine truth in a dark world. How does that apply specifically to our responsibility towards elected leaders? We are to pray for them!
