Christ our Sacrifice

In this episode of Words of Grace, Ben Winslett explores the biblical theme of sacrifice from Genesis to the New Testament. Why did God require sacrifices under the law? What was the difference between Cain and Abel’s offerings? How did the sacrifices of bulls, goats, and lambs point forward to Jesus Christ? Join us as we consider Christ, our perfect and final sacrifice, and the sacrifices believers are called to offer today in worship, praise, and service to God. Continue reading “Christ our Sacrifice”

The Brothers and Sisters of Christ

In this week’s Words of Grace broadcast, Pastor Ben Winslett considers a deeply comforting truth from Scripture: we are not only children of God, but Jesus actually calls us His brothers and sisters.

Drawing from parallel accounts in Luke 8 and Matthew 12, we explore the amazing and perhaps shocking assertion of Jesus that those who hear and do God’s commands are His true brothers and sisters. And according to Hebrews 2 , Christ is the Captain of our salvation and unashamed to call us brethren. Lastly, Hebrews 13 reminds us to let brotherly love continue! As brothers and sisters, we should treat one another differently.

Join us for this encouraging reflection on the family language of Scripture and the grace that binds us together in Christ.

Radio broadcast for November 30, 2025. Continue reading “The Brothers and Sisters of Christ”
