We Trust in God, Part 2

How can God’s people continue trusting Him when life brings suffering, loss, uncertainty, and hardship? In this concluding message our recent sermon series, Ben Winslett turns to several of Scripture’s greatest examples of faith and confidence in God during times of affliction.

From the remarkable testimony of Job, to the many Psalms that declare God’s faithfulness, the Bible repeatedly teaches believers to place their confidence in the Lord rather than in circumstances. The message concludes with the inspiring account of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who refused to bow before Nebuchadnezzar’s golden image and trusted God even in the face of a fiery furnace.

Whether God delivers His people through their trials or ultimately delivers them from this present world into glory, He remains worthy of their trust. This sermon encourages believers to rest in God’s providence, cling to His promises, and remember that He is present with His children in every trial they face.

The Prosperity of the Wicked | Present Evil World, Part 1

In this week’s edition of Words of Grace, we begin a two-part message titled “This Present Evil World.” Drawing from Galatians 1:4, Pastor Ben Winslett explores the painful realities of life in a fallen world—where tragedy, injustice, and sorrow are all too common. Referencing Isaiah 57 and Psalm 73, today’s episode considers why the righteous often perish early while the wicked seem to prosper, and how Scripture helps us make sense of it all.

Though this world is marred by sin, God’s word offers deep comfort: Christ gave Himself to deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of the Father. Join us for this sobering yet hope-filled message.

In Christ, from Thessalonians

In this broadcast titled “In Christ from Thessalonians,” we explore the profound connection believers have with Christ, focusing on key “In Christ” statements found in 1 and 2 Thessalonians. Join us as we discuss our union with Christ, the resurrection of the dead in Christ, and the call to live for the glory of Christ. We consider the context of Paul’s letters to a largely Gentile church undergoing persecution, his teachings on the return of Christ, and how the church should live in anticipation of His coming. This is a message of comfort and hope, reminding us to labor faithfully while we wait for His return.
