Raised According to the Will of God

In today’s broadcast, we turn to John chapter 6 and consider one of the most comforting truths in all of Scripture: that the resurrection of God’s people is rooted firmly in the will of God Himself. Jesus declares that all whom the Father has given Him will be raised up again at the last day, and that He will lose nothing. What does it mean for your eternal future to rest not in your strength, but in God’s sovereign purpose?

From John 6 to Romans 8 and Ephesians 1, we trace the unbreakable chain of salvation. The elect was foreknown, predestinated, called, justified, and will ultimately be glorified. This message reminds us that the same God who purposed salvation before the foundation of the world will surely complete it in the resurrection, raising His people incorruptible according to His will.

In this week’s episode of Words of Grace, we continue our study of the Sermon on the Mount by exploring Jesus’ statement: Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. What kind of mourning does Jesus mean? Who shall be comforted? How does the gospel bring comfort to those who grieve? Join us as we examine how God’s promises bring peace to the sorrowful, both in this life and in eternity.
