Respectful Dealings

In John 13, Jesus said all would know we are His disciples, not because of our orthodoxy, but because we love one another. This certainly doesn’t downplay sound teachings, because the church is by definition the pillar and ground of the truth. But we are to love one another. This love is to foster an atmosphere of respect and courtesy between believers.

Repentance and Revival

We all want revival. Whether in a personal or collective sense, an increase in spirituality and strength is something we desperately need in American Christianity at present. What must occur for a revival to spark? Of course, we stand in need of an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. But another important ingredient to revival, perhaps more commonly overlooked, is repentance! The Theology of Salvation

Most people who have heard of Christianity have some sort of awareness of the concept of salvation. That is, they recognize that Christians believe in deliverance from sin, and thereby punishment. However, far fewer – including many believers – have a working knowledge of the theology of salvation. Often referred to as the links in the golden chain of salvation, Romans chapter 8 describes our deliverance as occurring in the phases of foreknowledge, predestination, calling, justification, and final glorification.

Eternal Life
